At Sadhaka we treat your personal data with care and respect. We only process your data when you contact us, register for an event, take part in the travel forum or subscribe to our newsletter.

What data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process the following data:

  • Name
  • Address and place of residence
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Gender, so we can place you appropriately or arrange room allocation
  • Dietary needs, medical information and experience level, only if you share these voluntarily
  • Any other information you choose to share with us

Why we use this data

  • To process your booking or question
  • To inform you about your event and our services
  • To occasionally send you our newsletter, only with your consent
  • To inform our chef about dietary needs
  • To inform our teachers about medical considerations and experience level, so they can offer safe and appropriate guidance

Travel forum

Messages on the travel forum are visible to other participants of the same event. Do not post private contact details you do not wish to share.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses functional cookies that are needed for the site to work. We only place analytical cookies after you have given consent, so we can improve the site. We show no advertising and do not track you without consent. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.

Bot protection

To protect our forms (registrations, waitlist, contact, newsletter and login links) against abuse and automated traffic, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. This may involve Cloudflare processing limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser data, to determine whether a request comes from a human or an automated system. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum for more information.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties, except where this is necessary for our services, such as our payment provider for handling your deposit, or where we are legally required to do so. We always do this carefully and securely.

Retention periods

  • General contact and booking data: a maximum of 5 years
  • Dietary needs, medical information and experience level: a maximum of 1 year

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, port and object to your data, and you can withdraw any consent at any time. We respond to your request within four weeks.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and unauthorised access to your data.
