Creativity has flowed through me all my life. Whether I'm painting intuitively, drawing or working with stone, glass and precious metals – I let myself be guided by feeling. In silence I attune to myself and give space to what wants to emerge through my hands. That free, playful process brings me joy and fulfilment.
Alongside painting, I love working with glass (leaded/fusion/casting) and creating soul jewels with gemstones, silver and gold. It requires technical precision and patience – something I also deeply enjoy. Taking it step by step towards a tangible result, with love for the craft, makes me lose track of time.
Soulfulness is the thread running through everything I do. Being connected to love, light and oneness feels like a warm bath for my soul. At the same time, I also love to give expression to what I experience in daily life. Where those worlds meet, moments of pure presence arise and art that touches me.
My creative path has taken me to a master sculptor in Pietra Santa (Italy), various (international) glass artists in the Netherlands, a silversmith, the vocational school for goldsmiths and even a year at the Rietveld Academie. Each adventure fed my love for creating and my craftsmanship.
Besides being an artist, I'm also trained as a counselor and coach, with now 25 years of experience in energy work. The training to become a Creatively Fit Coach (Whitney Freya, US) brought me intuitive painting as a powerful coaching tool a few years ago. This has led to my current practice as a Creative and Spiritual Coach.
In my studio in Bloemendaal I guide people individually and in groups through their creative and intuitive development. Through guided visualizations, Creation Meditations and painting processes, they make contact with their deeper longings and inner strength. They discover how they can release limitations and bring their desires to life in free flow – on canvas and in daily life. With attention, joy and surrender, creating becomes a path to freedom, joy and fulfilment.
During the art weeks at Sadhaka I'm happy to guide you in your creative process and in finding the freedom within yourself to express yourself joyfully in the material you prefer. Inspiration from inside out and outside in. That's what we'll be experimenting and playing with for a whole week!
